Hirap pa rin ang maraming LGBTQI na Pilipino na makahanap ng trabaho—mas mataas ang posibilidad nilang mawalan ng hanapbuhay dahil sa kakulangan ng oportunidad at hindi pagkilala sa kanilang kakayahan. Sa mga opisina man, malayo pa rin ang pagkakapantay-pantay: patuloy ang diskriminasyon, harassment, at pangungutya na nagtutulak sa iba na manahimik o tuluyang lumisan. Dahil walang sapat na proteksiyong legal, marami ang pinipiling itago ang pagkatao para lang makapagtrabaho. Hindi dapat maging hadlang ang pagiging LGBTQI sa pag-unlad.

Malaking bahagi ng pagkatao ng isang tao ay nahuhubog sa paaralan ngunit para sa maraming LGBTQI na estudyante, ang silid-aralan ay naging lugar ng takot imbes na kaligtasan. Karaniwan ang pambu-bully, pagmumura, at karahasan, habang kulang naman ang mga paaralan sa kaalaman at mekanismong magpoprotekta sa kanila. Ang kakulangan ng inklusibong edukasyon ay nagpapalaganap ng stigma, hiya, at pakiramdam ng di-pagkabilang. Panahon na para isama ng pamahalaan ang mga hakbang laban sa diskriminasyon sa edukasyon, sanayin ang mga guro, at bigyang espasyo ang LGBTQI na mga organisasyon sa mga paaralan—dahil bawat bata ay may karapatang matuto nang may dignidad.
