Bulacan State University - BULSU Bahaghari
The project aims to institutionalize a Pride Help Desk across five satellite campuses, in partnership with campus-based Gender and Development Council (GADC) focal persons. This initiative strengthens reporting mechanisms, expands peer support systems, and fosters safe and inclusive spaces for LGBTIQ+ students.

“Students across BulSU's six campuses are calling for a more accessible and effective system for reporting gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment.”
Students at Bulacan State University with diverse SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics) continue to face significant discrimination. Currently, only two campuses have active LGBTIQ+ organizations that support affected students and help escalate cases to the appropriate offices.
Alarmingly, 68% of students across BulSU's six campuses are calling for a more accessible and effective system for reporting gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment. Only BulSU Bahaghari and BulSU SG Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDIC) Committee has the capacity to forward cases in its appropriate office and as established peer-led support groups.
BulSU currently lacks a dedicated help desk and support groups that focus on addressing cases and providing support systems specifically for LGBTIQ+ students.
Only two out of six campuses have LGBTIQ+ student organizations, further limiting students’ access to proper reporting channels and mechanisms to address their concerns effectively.
BulSU Bahaghari is set to launch an institutionalized Pride Help Desk through capacity-building empowering LGBTIQ+ student organizations across the five satellite campuses of Bulacan State University and campus-based focal person of Gender and Development Council (GADC). This initiative seeks to strengthen campus-based support systems by sharing the practices from the Main Campus, particularly on reporting mechanisms concerning SOGIESC-based discrimination, harassment, and related cases. Through this project, the team will visit each satellite campus, namely Bustos Campus, Hagonoy Campus, Meneses Campus, Sarmiento Campus, and San Rafael Campus, to conduct an on-grounds campaign.
